Elderly Animals Film
Walley Films released a short film about Isa’s Elderly Animals project. The film was selected by Kasia Cieplak-Mayr von Baldegg of The Atlantic as one of her favorite short films from 2011.

Houston Center for Photography Fellowship
Isa has been awarded the Houston Center for Photography 2012 Fellowship for her Elderly Animals project. The fellowship was juried by Christopher Rauchenberg, who is the co-founder and co-curator and board chairman of Blue Sky Gallery and also the co-founder and former president of Photolucida. The HCP will exhibit Isa’s Elderly Animals work from April 27-June 16 and provide her a $2500 grant to assist with exhibition costs.

Santa Fe Prize
Isa has been nominated for the Santa Fe Prize for Photography for her Elderly Animals project. Nominations for the prize came from a panel consisting of over 100 curators, publishers, educators, and industry experts from the art and photographic communities. Congratulations to award recipient Jessica Ingram and this year’s other nominees.

Clarence John Laughlin Award
Isa has been named a finalist for the Clarence John Laughlin Award by independent curator George Slade. The award was created by the New Orleans Photo Alliance to support the work of a photographer who is creating or has created a significant body of work. Congratulations to award recipient Joni Sternbach and this year’s other finalists.
